植德律师事务所 Merits & Tree Law Offices recently announced the addition of Yizhong Xue (薛益中) and Jinhui Zhang (张金辉), who join the firm's Shanghai and Beijing offices as an equity partner and a salaried partner respectively. Concurrently, the firm internally promoted partner Bing Xie (解冰) to equity partner. These moves further strengthen the firm's service capabilities across frontier healthcare transactions, cross-border commercial litigation, and full-lifecycle capital markets practices.
Mr. Xue, who joins the Shanghai office, focuses his primary practice on investment and financing M&A, dispute resolution, and government regulation and compliance, bringing extensive experience in the healthcare and related sectors. Before returning to private practice, Mr. Xue cultivated his expertise in the healthcare industry for over a decade. He successively served as Legal and Compliance Director for Greater China and Asia Pacific Operations at Zimmer Biomet, Deputy General Counsel for Greater China at Boston Scientific, Head of Legal at Genor Biopharma Group, and Legal Counsel at McDonald's China. Earlier in his career, he practiced at the Shanghai office of JunHe for seven years. He holds an LL.M. from Durham University and an LL.B. from Renmin University of China.
Mr. Zhang, who joins the Beijing office, focuses his practice on dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on cross-border commercial litigation and arbitration. Prior to joining Merits & Tree, he practiced for many years at renowned law firms including King & Wood and Jingtian & Gongcheng. He holds an LL.M. in International Law from the University of International Business and Economics and a Bachelor of Arts from Xi'an International Studies University.
Ms. Xie, who was internally promoted to equity partner, primarily engages in capital markets and investment and financing M&A. She holds LL.M. degrees from the University of Edinburgh and the City University of Hong Kong, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
